Shia LaBeouf: Michael Douglas was “A Broken Man”
Stocking up on the household needs, Shia LaBeouf was spotted out shopping for groceries in Beverly Hills on Thursday afternoon (March 4).
The “Transformers” stud was dressed casually as he pushed his cartload of goodies out to his truck – happily back on the road after getting his driving privileges reinstated.
Meanwhile, Shia recently spoke with press about his “Wall Street 2” co-star Michael Doulas and the hardships that he has recently endured – as his son Cameron was arrested last July for possession of crystal meth with intent to distribute it.
Shia tells, “I met a broken man, not the star, Michael Douglas. The man was in pain, trapped in an incredibly deep crisis. Michael Douglas on the verge of a nervous breakdown. It was unbelievably disturbing.”
Continuing on, LaBeouf explains, “He was afraid for his son….Michael’s work day was structured so that he’d visit his son in prison in the mornings, and after come to us on set. That was pretty difficult for him. There was little time for any of us to try to comfort Michael. That was really hard.”
