With the glitzy soiree being held at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, A-List couples such as Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake mingled with the likes of Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady during the course of the festivities.
This year’s MET Gala saw actress Carey Mulligan acting as honorary co-chair with fellow co-chairs including designer Miuccia Prada and US Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
Meanwhile, the theme of the 2011 Costume Institute Gala was “Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations” – which explored “the striking affinities between Elsa Schiaparelli and Miuccia Prada, two Italian designers from different eras.”
Others partaking in the MET celebration were lovely actresses like Jessica Alba, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kristen Stewart, Scarlett Johansson and Emma Stone, along with music superstars such as Rihanna, Kanye West, Beyonce Knowlesand Lana Del Rey.
Adding their beauty to the guest list, the Metropolitan Museum of Art also welcomed top models Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Candice Swanepoel, Brooklyn Decker and Kate Upton, with countless fellow esteemed attendees helping to launch the new Schiaparelli and Prada exhibit.

According to numerous sources, the Victoria’s Secret beauty and fiance Jamie Mazur are the proud parents of a newborn son – with Alessandra completing her second pregnancy in Florianopolis, Brazil on Monday (May 7).
While Miss Ambrosio’s rep has yet to confirm the news, a number of those close to the couple shed light on the baby’s arrival via social networking sites, as Alessandra’s mother-in-law, Michelle Mazur, wrote on her Facebook page, “Grandson just born in Brazil!”
Meanwhile, the 31-year-old model’s oft employer, Love magazine, tweeted a message which read, “Congratulations to Alessandra Ambrosio who had a baby boy today.”
Ambrosio and Mazur’s son joins a big sister, as the couple is already proud parents of a 3-year-old daughter named Anja Louise.
And now that her little guy has arrived, it sounds as if Alessandra will be quickly delving into baby weight dropping efforts, as she plans to get back to work by this July.
Of her career resuming hopes, the brunette beauty told, “I already have jobs planned for afterwards so hopefully will be back in shape. I told my booker and my manager; ‘I know I have a job to do, so just book the jobs and hopefully it’ll be fine.’ I only have a few more jobs to do before I have the baby – all editorial, no more catwalk now – and then I hope to be back in London for the opening of the Victoria’s Secret store in July. I should definitely be back for the next Victoria’s Secret show – I have quite a while until then.”

The 19-year-old joined a few close friends in visiting Disneyland Park, where the group roamed the grounds and rode the rides – with Miley looking to be having a blast as she rode the California Screamin’ roller coaster.
Once back home after the Disneyland adventure, Miss Cyrus immediately turned her attention on her newly rescued pooch pal, Happy.
The former Disney darling tweeted this evening, “About to give Happy his 1st bath. More adorable pics to come”
Having saved Happy earlier this week upon finding him abandoned in the street, Miley tweeted of her rescue effort, “He was left in a box in front of Walmart. I don’t understand how people can be so cruel. That’s why we named him Happy.”
“He’s a little boy. We’re not 100% on the breed, but we think Rottweiler Beagle mix 
” she added.

Along with chatting about her fairy tale film, which hits theaters on June 1st, Miss Stewart was asked if she had and prior experience riding horses.
To this, the 22-year-old replied, “Um, I rode once. I hurt myself though.”
Asked by Leno what happened, Kristen explained, “I fell off of it. I broke and dislocated my elbow. I wanted this so much and I did this thing that you ignore those little voices in your head when you’re like, ‘You don’t have to ride a horse dude, what are you thinking?’”
