Angelina Jolie Jets Out of the Big Easy

Bringing an end to her brief stay in the Big Easy, Angelina Jolie was spotted prepping for an out of town flight in New Orleans on Friday (August 26).

The “Salt” actress was chauffeured from her Louisiana abode to a local airport as she boarded a private jet with her brood of kiddies nowhere in sight.

While Ang was busy with her jet-setting ways, partner Brad Pitt partook in an interview with NBC news anchor Brian Williams in the ‘Lower 9th Ward’ section of New Orleans, Louisiana.

Remembering the 5th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, the “Fight Club” stud said, “It was unfathomable. I mean, just– you had no idea that there were families and here. It was just wiped clean. Except for the occasional pile up of homes and– on top of homes.”

Currently trying to help the rebuilding effort with his Make It Right charity efforts, Pitt added, “I mean, people’s– people build their lives here. And– and– I mean, New Orleans is a unique place to begin with. And I say– a cultural treasure trove for– for America to begin with. But the thing that struck me was that these people were trying to– you know, these people were trying to get home. And– and were having a very difficult time doing so. And as I got into and started studying it.”

Drew Barrymore Visits Dave, Vents About Awful Interview

Back out for another evening of promotional work, Drew Barrymore was all smiles as she arrived at the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York City on Tuesday (August 24).

There for an appearance on the “Late Show with David Letterman”, the “ET” actress is in the midst of building hype for her upcoming film “Going the Distance” – which hits theaters on September 3rd.

Having attended the Nanette Burstein directed film’s premiere in Los Angeles the previous evening, Drew opened up to the Evening Standard about an awful interview taking place at the red carpet event.

She tells, “You should have heard this b**ch I had to do an interview with before you. God, I wanted to punch her, she would just not drop the youth thing. I have no problem talking about it. I am not someone who is ashamed of my past. I’m actually really proud. I know I made a lot of mistakes, but they in turn were my life lessons.”

Miss Barrymore continued to vent, “It’s actually good to get it done young and have a great life later. But yeah, man, I wanted to rip this woman’s face off. She just would not shut up about it.”

Jennifer Aniston: All’s Fine and Well with Juliette Lewis

Denying that she tried to use her top status to rid of an unwanted co-star, Jennifer Aniston has dismissed reports claiming that she attempted to have Juliette Lewis fired.

The pair appear together in the recently released movie “The Switch,” which fared quite poorly during it’s box office opening weekend take of $9 million.

According to rumors, Miss Aniston demanded that Miss Lewis, who previously dated her ex-husband Brad Pitt, be taken out of the cast before production started.

With the replacing of Juliette obviously not happening, Jen’s rep released a statement telling, “Jennifer adores Juliet and was thrilled she accepted the role. They are very good and supportive friends.”

Get to Know Miss Universe 2010 Jimena Navarrete

Her dream became a reality last night (August 23) as Miss Mexico Jimena Navarrete was crowned as 2010 Miss Universe.

The Guadalajara-born beauty beat out eighty-two other pageant contestants and will hold the reign of Miss Universe for an entire year.

In her year of being in the spotlight, Ms Navarrete hopes to bring attention to people with HIV/AIDS and breast cancer – but she also plans to let “the whole world know about my country and my people.”

Her most prized possession is her sash. Why? Because it “has Mexico’s name. I’m very proud to be representing my country and it’s a big honor for me,” she explains.

In other news, during a pre-pageant interview, Jimena revealed a helpful tip for men everywhere. She told, “The advice that I can give to all the men in the world, it would be to be more sensitive, more lovely or to express in an easy way [what] you’re feeling.”
