Continuing to branch out with her business endeavors, Beyonce Knowles opened up the Beyonce Cosmetology Center in Brooklyn on Friday afternoon (March 5).

Joined by her mother, Tina Knowles, the “Single Ladies” singer was all smiles while celebrating the new place of beauty located at the Phoenix House.

The Beyonce Cosmetology Center comes after Miss Knowles spent the earlier part of the week in Washington DC for a White House visit on Wednesday.

Joined by her mother, as well as her hip-hop hubby Jay-Z, manager Kevin Liles and rapper Trey Songz – the group was treated to White House tour and even were able to pull off an unscheduled visit with President Barack Obama.

Looking lovely on the cover of Nylon magazine, Katy Perry dished about her new music and her thoughts about other artists in the latest issue.

The “Waking Up in Vegas” singer spoke of the multiple different female singers out and what makes her different, telling, “You’ve got GaGa, who’s like, from outer space; you’ve got Ke$ha, who’s the beer-drinking, house-party girl; and then you’ve got Rihanna, who’s transforming the urban world into her own outer space.”

But Perry feels there’s something more needed in the mix. “I feel like you’re missing an Alanis Morissette, in 2010. I love how she was a voice for a lot of people who couldn’t explain their feelings. But it’s not like I’m not gonna compete. I love a good dose of healthy competition. It’s not going to be the same that they’re doing…”

Perry also opened up about what she and Taylor Swift have in common, saying, “Sometimes I really feel like I’m more of a Taylor Swift. She tells stories, and I think that’s why she resonates with a lot of people. She hits the hidden chord in them [where they say], ‘Oh my God, I’ve been through that too,’ or ‘You said it in a way I could never explain.’”

Caught up in a media frenzy, President Obama denied that he reached out to Tiger Woods.

After reports claimed the President called the golfer, Golf Digest issued their own statement claiming it was a mistake due to “a misunderstanding between the writer and a trusted source.”

But although he may not have gotten word from Obama, he did get words from former President, Bill Clinton

Clinton’s spokesman, Matt McKenna, confirmed that Clinton took a phone call from the champion golfer to discuss “something unrelated” and “wished him well.”

Reports have also confirmed that Woods entered a six-week program in Mississippi, where he participated in Disclosure Day, where patients must confess all to their spouse. Woods’s wife has also spent several days at therapy sessions at the clinic with her husband.

Also speaking out is Kultida Woods, who is described as “staunchly supportive of her son.”

“Since a little boy, Tiger always loved competition – he born with that,” she said. “So he will face himself, solve the problem, and when he comes back, he will still love to play and love to win. I think more than ever, because his closet will be cleaned out and his mind will be free.”

Pushing forth with their busy day, the Kardashian sisters were spotted arriving at Ketchup Restaurant on Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood on Friday evening (February 26).

With Kim pulling up in her chauffeured ride, the E! reality beauty met up with sisters Khloe and Kourtney to host their second baby shower of the afternoon.

Of the outing, Kim tweeted to her fans and followers, “Getting ready for the 2nd baby shower! This one is for Monica, my amazing stylist!”

To end the night, the gals then made their way over to Staples Center for the Lakers game, as Kim tells, “On my way to the Laker game w @KhloeKardashian @KeepinUpWKris and grandma MJ!”
